Title of the project: “Highland Communities. A Population History from Antiquity to the MiddleAges: A Study in Historical Geography” - The candidate will first be required to catalogue and analyze all written sources from the Arab, Norman, and Swabian periods that refer to the Hyblaean region, in order to assess whether they may be used, from a retrospective perspective, for reconstructing land tenure systems on the Hyblaean plateau and along its corresponding coastline between Late Antiquity and the Early Middle Ages...Omissis.
