Description

A) Study of synthesis, chemical modification & reactivity of organic molecules on surfaces by means of synchrotron spectroscopy techniques (photoemission and X-ray absorption) and beamline scanning microscopy ALOISA and its satellite laboratories for Ultra-High-Vacuum (UHV) experiments; B) repositioning of ALOISA beamline components on a new source (double corrugator); realignment, calibration and characterization of a modernized conveyor system with new optical components, calibration of the new double corrugator.C) development of the hardware and software interface architecture of the renewed beamline with the Elettra2.0 control system; integration into the acquisition system of the renewed experimental station dedicated to the chemical-physical of surfaces in Ultra-High-Vacuum" as part of the research program taking into account the indications of the scientific referent.

Qualifications and interview Specific requirements: d) Experience in the field of photoelectron spectroscopies with X-rays (e.g. XPS, NEXAFS, UPS) and/or scanning tunneling microscopy (STM) applied to the study of Surfaces and Adsorbates in Ultra-High-Vacuum (UHV) conditions; e) Proven experience in the development, maintenance and use of experimental equipment and instrumentation operating in UHV;f) Programming skills in Labview and/or Python environment for the development and integration of control, acquisition and data analysis systems for the instrumentation of the ALOISA laboratory will be preferred;g) Good knowledge of the English language.The requirements must be met on the date of expiry of the deadline for submitting the application, under penalty of exclusion from the selection procedure, as well as at the time of signing the employment contract.
