The research focuses on the design, methodological supervision, and statistical validation of assessment and certification tools for Italian Sign Language (LIS) proficiency. The project involves the application of psychometric methods and advanced statistical models to evaluate reliability, validity, internal consistency, and item quality. Particular emphasis will be placed on quantitative data analysis and the development of standardized procedures to ensure fairness and accuracy in language proficiency measurement. The findings will contribute to the development of an evidence-based certification system for LIS grounded in robust empirical and statistical evidence.
