The research position is part of a broader program on the transformation of information practices, with a focus on news avoidance. The researcher will conduct empirical analyses on situated subjects, examining how intersectional factors (gender, age, class) shape information-related stress and patterns of exposure and avoidance.Particular attention will be given to care work, in order to understand how material and emotional burdens influence relationships to information and contribute to inequalities in informational labor.The position requires an interdisciplinary profile across media sociology, political philosophy, and gender studies, including knowledge of communication and democratic theory, an intersectional approach, and strong analytical skills, especially in synthesizing literature and contributing to research on news avoidance.
