The research question underlyingthis project concerns the possibility of conducting an ethnographic exploration ofimprovisation management modalities in jazz contexts to understand their dialogic-conversational nature, in order to utilize them for studying how natural groups operatingin organizational contexts deal with unexpected events – with or without the assistanceof Artificial Intelligence. A further objective of the project is the development of trainingprograms related to the enhancement of soft skills necessary for those who act and workin group situations to address unforeseen events. The project is grounded in the well-formulated analogy by Mariani (2016) between jazz formations and work groups inorganizations.
