COMPETITION FOR N.1 RESEARCH CONTRACT, GROUP 01/MATH-03 MATHEMATICAL ANALYSIS, PROBABILITY AND MATHEMATICAL STATISTICS AT BIDSA RESEARCH CENTER AT UNIVERSITÀ COMMERCIALE “LUIGI BOCCONI” DI MILANO

The research activity will be carried out within the ERC project OPTiMiSE – Optimal Transport and Metric Structures for Evolution Problems, which aims to develop new mathematical methods for the study of evolution problems through optimal transport theory, metric structures, and variational methods. The postdoctoral researcher will contribute to the project's scientific activities by conducting research on gradient flows, dissipative processes, the evolution of measures, optimal transport, partial differential equations, and variational approximation methods, with potential applications to optimization and machine learning. The successful candidate will work in an international research environment within the Department of Decision Sciences, collaborating with the research team, participating in seminars, workshops, and conferences, and contributing to the production and dissemination of scientific results through publications in international journals.
