“MULTICAS - Multi-dimensional performance assessment of complex agroecological systems”
The project aims to develop and validate an innovative, participatory and multidimensional tool for assessing the agroecological performance of farms and territories. Based on an adaptation of the FAO TAPE tool, it integrates environmental, economic and social dimensions to measure and enhance the sustainability of agri-food systems. Activities will take place in five European Living Labs—Germany, France, Italy, Slovenia and Türkiye—engaging local stakeholders in the co-creation and validation of indicators and agroecological transition strategies. The project also includes the development of a decision-support system and the analysis of supply chains and value chains. Particular attention will be paid to profitability, costs, benefits, risks, market dynamics and economic trade-offs, also through forecasting scenarios, in order to formulate operational and policy recommendations supporting the adoption of sustainable practices.
