1 place with scholarship.The scholarship is intended for research in the field of multidisciplinary interventions in support of gender‑equality education in Palestine, with particular emphasis on studies in mathematics and modeling within the scientific areas covered by our Ph.D. program. The research activities will aim to provide students with a solid understanding of the theoretical foundations of a mathematical discipline and to equip them with the skills needed to rigorously analyze mathematical models across a wide range of scientific areas. The overarching goal is to foster broader and more inclusive access to research within these scientific domains.

Qualification assessment and oral exam. The oral exam can be taken entirely in English. The oral exam will be conducted online. In the application form each candidate must indicate a valid contact address. During the oral exam the committee will certify the identity of each candidate, to this end the candidate shall show a valid identification document with recent photo. The assessment procedure consists of two phases: qualification assessment and oral exam. Scores are indicated out of a total of 100 points, assigned as follows: Qualification assessment: Max. 50/100 points attributed through assessment of the candidate’s CV, letters of recommendation, publications and other qualifications. The minimum score required for admission to sit the oral exam is 30/100.Oral exam: The oral exam consists of the presentation and discussion of the thesis and the research activity carried out by the candidate. Questions will also be asked on general mathematical topics and concepts. The aim is to evaluate the candidate’s aptitude and his/her general competencies. The exam includes assessment of the candidate’s English language skills. The minimum score needed to pass is 30 over a max. of 50 points for the oral exam.
