The admission to the Doctoral Programme is based upon a comparative evaluation of the candidates’ expertise, knowledge and scientific research attitude with specific focus on the curriculum/a chosen in the application online. The selection is made on the basis of the assessment of qualifications (listed in art. 3 of the notice). The Admissions Committee may contact the applicant for an in-depth interview or a video-interview concerning the material submitted. The Admissions Committee can assign each candidate a total score of 100 as follows:- 30 for the assessment of qualifications and curriculum vitae;- 60 for the assessment of research proposal and statement of purpose.- 10 for the assessment of the summary of the degree thesis.Candidates obtaining a minimum score of 60/100 will be short-listed.
Applications for PhD positions are accepted from applicants, regardless of gender, age and nationality, who hold an Italian “Laurea Magistrale”, according to the DM no. 270 of 22.10.2004 and subsequent amendments, or an equivalent Italian academic degree or an equivalent foreign academic degree (Master’s degree), recognized as equivalent by the Admissions Committee. Applications are also accepted from students expecting to obtain the necessary degree by October 31, 2026.
