Description

The PhD Program in Cognitive Brain Sciences is a fulltime 3-year joint program with the University of Pavia. It is aimed at providing an advanced training in neuroscientific research, focusing on the understanding of the neural processes underlying cognitive functions and behaviour during the lifespan, both in normal conditions and in neurological and psychiatric diseases, and it is strongly oriented towards an interdisciplinary approach. The aim is to train a new generation of cognitive neuroscientists capable of synthesising concepts and methods from different disciplines in an integrated approach to the study of the mind/brain relationship that not only increases competitiveness within traditional disciplinary departments, but also promotes the progress in advanced and new research, and the transfer of knowledge to Health and Education fields.

qualifications, research project/s and interview The admission requirements are the following:a) “Laurea Magistrale”, or other equivalent academic qualification (second level degree) obtained abroad and recognized as valid and research project.Participation to competitive examination is also open to those who will obtain their Degree by and no later than 30 September 2026. In this case, conditional admission shall be granted. The candidate who intends to compete for more than one scholarship is required to submit a project for each of the scholarship he/she is applying for. Up to a maximum of three preferences may be expressed. (NB: the topic of the scholarship must be included in the header of the project).
