PhD positions - Collaborative Doctoral Partnership University of Trento – Joint Research Centre (JRC) Doctoral Programme in Information Engineering and Computer Science 42nd cycle Academic Year 2026/2027

The selection is necessary in order to assess the applicant’s knowledge and research aptitude in the scientific area of the Programme.The selection will be conducted in two consecutive stages:1. pre-selection by University of Trento, based on an assessment of all the mandatory applicant’s qualifications;2. final selection by JRC, with an interview.The application form must be completed online and successfully submitted by 4:00 PM Italian time on June 25th 2026. Applications for PhD positions are accepted from applicants, regardless of gender, age and nationality, who hold an Italian “Laurea Magistrale”, according to the DM no. 270 of 22.10.2004 and subsequent amendments, or an equivalent Italian academic degree or an equivalent foreign academic degree (Master’s degree), recognized as equivalent by the Admissions Committee. Applications are also accepted from students expecting to obtain the necessary degree by October 31, 2026.JRC Specific Eligibility Criteria as detailed in the Announcement of selection.
