The PhD program provides advanced training across the multidisciplinary fields (economic, legal, and socio-pedagogical) of the UNIBA Ionian Department, focusing on the specific characteristics of the Mediterranean region. The program aims to equip doctoral students with highly specialized skills in the following research areas:Development and Rights: Socio-economic development and human rights protection in the Mediterranean.Cooperation and Governance: Economic-financial cooperation models and multi-level governance in the Euro-Mediterranean system.Sustainability: Energy and climate governance, and sustainability profiles.Emerging Economies: Space and blue economy, focusing on port systems, logistics, and energy supply.Society and Security: Peace, migration, crimmigration, intercultural dialogue, and illicit trade.Innovation: Competitiveness and regional development.
