Description
The PhD program in Mathematics aims to train highly qualified researchers capable of advancing the frontiers of knowledge in both pure and applied Mathematics. Research activities range from the theoretical foundations of modern mathematics (Algebra, Geometry, Mathematical Analysis, Probability and Statistics, Mathematical Physics, Numerical Analysis, Didactics, and History of Mathematics) to contemporary challenges (Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Cybersecurity). The doctors will acquire a profound mastery of the state of the art in their scientific field, developing the ability to collaborate within international networks and to leverage the technological impact of their studies. They will be able to pursue successful careers in theoretical and applied research centers, public administration, and advanced services.
