Description
The Programme arises from the convergence of different areas of expertise, particularly in archaeology, architecture,engineering, anthropology and philological-literary studies. Its overall vision is clearly defined, and participation isensured through regular meetings between lecturers and doctoral students, designed to build a genuine scientificcommunity. In this respect, doctoral students are offered intensive opportunities for interaction through workshops,fieldwork and study visits, aimed at encouraging dialogue among different disciplines and perspectives, exchange andthe sharing of experiences. Workshops and case-study analysis also serve to channel research into concrete momentsof analysis through comparison among disciplinary and professional viewpoints. The cross-cutting concept of landscape,indeed, characterises the research project and underpins the reasoning of different professional figures who often workside by side.
