Description

The PhD Program in Soil and Food Sciences trains highly qualified researchers on sustainability, food safety, and human health. It includes two curricula: one focused on microbiology, technology, and food chemistry; the other on soil chemistry and sustainable resource management in agriculture. The program adopts a multidisciplinary approach (biotechnology, chemistry, biology, agronomy, economics, public health) to address agro-food sector challenges. Topics include food quality and preservation, safety, environmental impact, sustainable resource use, diet-related disease prevention, waste reduction, and by-product valorization.
