Description
"Health and well-being" is a goal of the United Nations' Agenda 2030 for populations of different age groups. Research activity in Public Health is a fundamental factor for cultural and scientific growth in the environment it develops, with a pervasive effect that also involves indirectly related environments. In this perspective, the Doctoral program in Public Health fits, with its transversal and interdisciplinary approach, integrating knowledge from biomedical, economic, and social sciences to generate insights for maintaining good health for as long as possible. The research themes include the implementation and evaluation of healthcare interventions for health promotion and disease control, the identification of new molecular mechanisms and innovative and advanced diagnostic tools, the determination of proper healthcare policy guidelines, and resource evaluation.
