Description
Sciences in critical Medicine is directed to students interested in research focusing on topics of critical medicine. It is an interdisciplinary program representing different specialties, including anesthesia, pediatrics, neonatology, pharmacology and psichiatry medicine.Advances in critical care medicine have resulted in seriously ill patients becoming increasingly complex to care for. This has resulted in the need for critical care staff to have a variety of specialised skills, in-depth knowledge and competencies. The course will be learning from a multi-professional team of researchers who have strong research profiles and are passionate about the improvement of healthcare and service delivery. This course plays an emphasis on identifying the molecular events that mark the transitional phases during the course of critical illness, especially in identifying the signatures of early maladaptive events.
