The PhD program in Entrepreneurship and Innovation aims to address processes related to the creation and development of new ventures, as well as the management of innovation projects within existing organizations.Regarding entrepreneurship, the research topics focus on technology-based start-ups, academic and corporate spin-offs, and start-ups built on design competencies.Concerning innovation management, the research topics extend to the main types of innovation, such as technology-push and demand-pull innovations, innovations related to business models, design-driven innovations, user-led innovations, and “reverse” or “vintage” innovations.Emphasis is devoted to the impact of new technologies and the different dimensions of sustainability, in order to promote an interdisciplinary perspective on the underlying logics of innovation project management, for both individual organizations and business ecosystems.
