Description
Research in Biology today is increasingly multidisciplinary and it is crucial to train new generations of biological researchers to meet future societal challenges. At UNINA, PhD students in Biology have the opportunity to conduct their own original research under the supervision of academic staff who address fundamental and applied questions, guided by a PhD thesis Advisory Committee. The Department of Biology at UNINA has state-of-the-art technical resources, broad and highly interdisciplinary research programs, and a wide spectrum of biology expertise, from molecular to organismic biology. This provides an excellent opportunity for highly-motivated students to acquire methods and train in various fields of modern-day biological research. Together with practical training, PhD students will benefit from a rich program of courses, lectures, workshops and conferences organized at the Department of Biology and at the School of Science and Technology.
