Description
The aim of the research project is the development and evaluation of new vitrimer formulations to be used as matrices for fiber-reinforced composites. Vitrimers represent an innovative class of polymers that combine the mechanical properties and durability of thermosets with the processability and recyclability of thermoplastics, thus offering a sustainable solution for the production and management of composite materials. The project seeks to characterize the thermal, rheological, and mechanical properties of vitrimer systems, assessing their processability and suitability for structural applications. In addition, it aims to produce and test fiber-reinforced composites based on these matrices, evaluating their performance and repairability.
