The assignment involves carrying out the following activities under theguidance of the tutor, Prof. Francesco Saverio Pavone:The activities planned include the optimization of The planned activities include the optimization ofprotocols for the growth and maintenance of multidimensional neuronal cultures,as well as the definition of the mosteffective procedures for their transfection with calcium indicators forfunctional imaging and with opsins for optogenetic stimulation. The candidate will also be responsible forcharacterizing the optical system, with particular attentionto setting the reading and writing parameters. A significant partof the project involves the design and developmentof a containment system for cell culture, capable ofensuring a stable physiological microenvironment duringexperiments.
