Neurophysiological indices of psychophysical well-being (PRO-BEN Project)
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
11/PSIC-01 - General Psychology, Neuropsychology And Cognitive Neuroscience, Psychometrics
Description
The psychophysical well-being of young adults largely depends on a harmonious interaction between mental components, which define the psychological dimension, and biological and neurophysiological components, which characterize the bodily dimension. Recent scientific literature has highlighted the importance of specific physiological indicators, including interoception, as mediators of well-being and as factors associated with complex cognitive processes. The project, spanning a two-year period, aims to develop and validate innovative methodologies for measuring biological and neurophysiological indices capable of predicting psychophysical well-being in young adult populations.
