Description

The research programme falls within the field of lithiumion battery recycling and will focus on the treatment of black mass and production scraps—materials rich in critical and/or strategic elements—derived from mechanical processes developed by the partners of the BATMASS project. The researcher’s activities will involve a comprehensive physicochemical analysis of these systems, with the aim of validating the recovery and reuse processes developed within the project. The most suitable blackmass fractions will undergo chemical treatments to separate and purify the electrode components, which will subsequently be integrated into the production process of new lithiumion cells
