Description

Analysis, development, and validation of methods for processing and interpreting visual data acquired by aerial robotic platforms employed in operational safety monitoring. The activity focuses on designing algorithms for the analysis of images and video streams transmitted from the drone to the remote supervisory operator, with the goal of supporting the assessment of operational conditions and the detection of obstacles, anomalies, or potentially hazardous situations. The activities include the development of computer vision and machine learning techniques for the detection and classification of relevant elements in the scene, and the experimental evaluation of the proposed solutions on real data acquired during inspection missions.
