The primary scientific objective of this project is the development of a hybrid platform featuring an active array of Micro-Ring Resonators (MRRs) designed to interface directly with in vitro biological neurons. Once the platform is established, the research will move toward characterizing its response to electrical stimuli that are comparable to actual biological network activity.
