Description

This research activity focuses on the bioinformatic reconstruction of genome-scale metabolic models (GEMs), with particular emphasis on the systematic and curated construction of metabolic networks from genomic data. The workwill involve genome annotation–driven model reconstruction, manual and semi-automated curation of metabolic pathways, and consistency checks to ensure biological and stoichiometric accuracy. The resulting models will provide arobust framework for the analysis of metabolic capabilities and will be applied to address biological questions in systems biology, microbiology, and biotechnology.
