Description
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing andimplementing in vitro and in vivo experimentalprocedures to study the neurobiological processesunderlying the chronification of neuroinflammation. Theproject is structured in an initial in vivo phase usingpreclinical models of chronic neuroinflammation,analysed through conventional methods of behaviouralassessment, animal welfare evaluation, and preclinicalanalysis.Animal tissues and samples will be isolated, preserved,and analysed in the second phase of the project.The activities include studying intercellularcommunication between astrocytes and microglia,assessing the role of connexin 43 in neuroglialhomeostasis, and employing cutting-edge imagingtechniques along with metabolic and molecular profilingmethods.
