Description

The research programme will focus on:(i) the development of two classes of solid polymer electrolytes (SPEs), Gel Polymer Electrolyte (GPE) and Single Ion Conducting (SIC), suitably designed to meet the requirements of sodium-ion batteries;(ii) the characterisation of the developed SPEs for a systematic understanding of the phenomena governing ionic conduction and transport mechanisms.

The selection process includes the evaluation of qualifications, verifying the minimum requirements: a Master’s degree (Laurea Magistrale) or single-cycle degree in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technology, Chemical Engineering, or an officially recognized equivalent foreign degree obtained no more than six years prior to the application deadline.The candidate’s CV will also be assessed for its relevance to the planned research activities.An interview will be held to evaluate the candidate’s competencies related to the research activities. Fundamental and advanced knowledge in chemistry, physics, and materials science will be assessed, with particular attention to materials and processes for energy applications. Proficiency in English will also be verified. The selection criteria will be based on: a) the relevance and consistency of the candidate's academic background with the research programme covered by the position (maximum score of 30 points); b)the relevance and significance of the candidate's previous research activities and any work experience in relation to the research activities covered by the position (maximum score of 20 points); c)the relevance and significance of publications, theses and other scientific products attached, in relation to the research programme covered by the assignment (maximum score of 10 points); d)oral interview aimed at assessing the candidate's aptitude and suitability for carrying out the research activities covered by the assignment, as well as evaluating their knowledge of the English language (maximum score of 40 points).
