Description

The program aims to develop and implement a mechanistic model that can predict biogas/biomethane production and digestate characteristics for plants powered by co-digestion with wastewater and agro-byproducts from the agri-food industry. The phases include: definition of the biochemical and chemical-physical processes and their implementation in Modelica. Sensitivity and observability analysis of the parameters. Calibration and validation of the model on one or two case studies. Use of the model for plant operational optimization.
