Description
The project involves the development and implementation of analytical methods based on hyphenated techniques, such as Liquid Chromatography coupled with Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS) and Gas Chromatography coupled with Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS/MS),to investigate New Psychoactive Substances (NPS) and their metabolites. The research aims to evaluate novel instrumental approaches for the identification of NPS, assessing the correlation between toxicological data and NPS-related cardiac damage in order to provide a multidisciplinary analysis of NPS-related toxicity. The development of these combined analytical methodologies is intended to provide innovative investigative tools with potential benefits for public health, promoting monitoring and prevention strategies through a robust multidisciplinary approach.
