Description

This research activity focuses on exploring long-term human–nature interactions under different planning, policy, and management scenarios. The work integrates social, ecological, and environmental data to model and simulate how humans, biodiversity, and the urban environment co-evolve over time, with a particular emphasis on uncertainty, multispecies coexistence, and future-oriented decision-making. The activity combines quantitative data (e.g., GIS, remote sensing, sensors) with qualitative inputs from co-creation and long-term monitoring to model behavioral patterns rather than precise predictions. The resulting modeling and simulation framework supports scenario exploration, policy evaluation, and adaptive planning at the neighborhood scale.
