Description

The research programme aims to improve the nutritional strategies and the nutritional management of patients with cancer, with a focus on scientific innovation and clinical practice. Research activities include studying bodycomposition, the interaction between diet and gut microbiota, and the role of specific nutritional components. The programme also involves the analysis of system-level and clinical barriers that hinder the implementation of an effective and continuous nutritional care pathway, as well as the identification of feasible implementation strategies.The planned activities include the design and development of study protocols, the support for data collection, management and analysis, the preparation of scientific manuscripts, and the dissemination of results through academic and scientific venues, contributing to the advancement of the Department’s research lines.
