Description

The rapid evolution of mobile communication systems requires a comprehensive understanding of how emerging traffic patterns will influence future spectrum usage and infrastructure requirements. In parallel, standardization bodies are proposing new architectural solutions to address both current and anticipated traffic demands. In this context, it is crucial to design performance models associated with specific network configurations. Analytical models must be complemented by simulation activities in order to accurately capture network behavior, especially in complex and highly dynamic scenarios. The objective of this research program is to develop analytical models and simulation tools to evaluate the Quality of Service (QoS) achievable by proposed architectures under given configurations, and to identify conditions under which network cells approach critical QoS thresholds.
