Description

The research will employ statistical expertise in the acquisition, processing and analysis of business and geographical data. These analyses will aim to identify, develop, test and implement integrated tools to improve the understanding of the drivers of land use decisions, as well as stakeholder awareness and engagement in terms of climate change and biodiversity challenges in Europe. The research will support the development of indicators of land use transformation towards a sustainable transition, the modelling of future land use changes under different socio-economic and biophysical scenarios and the identification of agricultural stakeholders’ perceptions of land use under current and future climate conditions at national, regional and pan-European levels. The research results will inform and support the development of training activities for both those working in agriculture and trainers through the implementation of a set of training activities.
