Description
The research fellowship is aimed at evaluating the life cycle (Life Cycle Assessment – LCA) of the processes involved in hydrogen storage using the methodology proposed in the project, with particular reference to the stages of production, conditioning, transport, and storage of the energy carrier. The activity includes the definition of system boundaries, the analysis of material and energy flows, and the quantification of associated environmental impacts, including the calculation of the carbon footprint and the assessment of key environmental impact indicators. The appointment also includes a comparative analysis of the environmental costs of the technological solutions investigated, in order to identify critical factors and opportunities for improvement in terms of the overall sustainability. The results will help support design choices and provide a quantitative basis for evaluating the environmental effectiveness of the developed technology
