Description
The planned activity within the CARE-DIET project concerns the development and implementation of databases aimed at assessing the intake of bioactive phytochemicals. This task will focus on the integration of data related to multiple classes of plant-derived bioactive compounds, including polyphenols, carotenoids, phytosterols, glucosinolates, alkaloids, and other dietary components relevant to gut microbiome modulation and host physiology. The developed databases will represent a key resource to support the assessment of individual dietary exposure and the interpretation of metabolomic and microbiomic data generated within the project.
