Description
The REGARD project aims to protect and restore natural capital within Natura 2000 sites, tackling biodiversity loss through a multidimensional strategy. The project integrates naturalistic, archaeological, and touristic aspects to promote sustainable development and increase public awareness. Key outputs include the enhancement of 5 germplasm banks, the creation of 2 collection fields, 4 biodiversity gardens, 2 marine-coastal trails, and the restoration of 5 distinct habitats. The cross-border approach ensures large-scale economic and expertise-related benefits. The project's innovative core lies in its exploratory itineraries, designed as open-air research laboratories and training centers for ecological urban garden models inspired by environmental complexity
