Description
The project focuses on the development of sustainable synthetic methodologies for the preparation of halogenated molecules using continuous-flow photocatalysis. The activities include the design and optimization of photoinduced reactions under flow conditions, the selection of efficient and low–environmental-impact photocatalysts, and the systematic investigation of key operational parameters (light source, solvent, residence time, and concentration) to maximize efficiency and selectivity. Particular emphasis is placed on scalability, safety, and waste minimization, as well as on the application of the developed methodologies to the synthesis of intermediates of interest to the pharmaceutical and materials industries.
