Description
The activity includes a review of available forestry data portals and the integration of new remote sensing resources to update the knowledge framework. On this basis, the relevant European, national, and regional regulatory framework is analyzed.An assessment of the status of Apulian forests follows, addressing forest structure, ecological dynamics, phytopathological issues, climate change impacts, and pedological and hydrogeological aspects. A review of the protected areas system is also carried out.
