Causal Evaluation of Exposome Interventions and Resilience to Health Shocks in Multi-Morbidity Across Cohorts
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
13/ECON-05 - Econometrics
Description
This project is embedded in the STAGE – Healthy Ageing initiative (https://stage-healthyageing.eu/) and focuses on WP4 – Moderators of ageing with multi-morbidity in Europe. The researcher will causally assess how exposome factors, lifestyle, socioeconomic, and environmental conditions, shape multi-morbidity trajectories across periods and birth cohorts. Using quasi experimental methods and target trial emulation, the project will estimate the effects of actionable exposome interventions on health and socioeconomic outcomes among individuals with multi-morbidity. Emphasis will be placed on resilience to acute health shocks and on heterogeneity across cohorts and populations. Estimated causal effects will be transported to contemporary populations to inform realistic, policy-relevant intervention scenarios
