Description

The project investigates the role of the transcription factor NR2F1 in regulating mitochondrial function in Bosch-Boonstra-Schaaf syndrome (BBSOAS). Using murine models and human cellular systems (iPSC-derived neurons and patient fibroblasts), we will analyze the impact of NR2F1 alterations on cellular bioenergetics and neuronal function, and evaluate pharmacological strategies aimed at restoring mitochondrial function for therapeutic purposes.
