The research contract is linked to an EU-funded intervention, MAPS, in ten African Countries that establishes 40 positions for Master and PhD students. The winner will catalyse the results of the students' projects and provide a supranational analysis of all gathered data. This will impact the health of the target populations (migrants and refugees) by addressing knowledge gaps and informing policy making on migration and forced displacement. The project will focus on the effect of disaster and climate change on health and on vulnerable groups such as women, children, minorities, and persons with disabilities.The project will investigate the intersection between health and human rights, access to care, equity, employment, housing, education, and social inclusion. Primary research will adopt a mixed-method approach (quantitative and qualitative). The holder will be responsible for supporting the professional growth of early-career African scientists through her/his mentorship role.
