Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces Application to NOMA Systems” (“INTRIGANTE”)

Position: Research appointment (pre-doc) Institute: Uni. Basilicata
Posted on: 27/03/2026 Deadline: 29/04/2026

Scientific-Disciplinary Group

09/IINF-03 - Telecommunications

Description

The research activity is part of the INTRIGANTE project, which aims at developing a unified analytical and simulation framework integrating the electromagnetic characteristics of Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces (IRS) with the multiple access and propagation mechanisms of NOMA systems, in order to fully exploit the potential of reconfigurable radio propagation. The assignment includes supporting research activities related to the integration of IRS/RIS into NOMA systems, as well as the study and development of machine learning algorithms applicable to advanced wireless systems for parameter estimation, and system performance enhancement which integrates IRS with NOMA paradigm.
