Deadline: 30/04/2026
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
02/PHYS-03 - Experimental Physics Of Matter And Applications
Description
The research project entails the development and application of inverse-design approaches to optimize the optical response of one-dimensional photonic crystal multilayers. Such systems will be designed to support Bloch surface waves in the frame of high-sensitivity sensing applications. The optimized numerical approaches will allow enlarging the investigated parameter space during the optimization routine and to envision multi-objective schemes aimed at the concurrent evaluation of multiple aspects linked to the overall device performance.
