Description

The position involves carrying out research and technical development activities in the field of mobile robot control, with a specific focus on marine robotics for environmental monitoring and restoration. The candidate will work in a multidisciplinary team that includes environmental scientists and engineers to develop new underwater vehicles with capabilities for navigation, monitoring, and interaction with the ice substrate.Essential technical skills include proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++), knowledge of control algorithms and/or existing architectures (e.g., ArduSub, ROS2) for autonomous navigation, and the ability to develop innovative control solutions.
