FEED GENERATION is a project coordinated by the “Leonardo da Vinci” National Museum of Science and Technology in collaboration with the University of Milano-Bicocca and the University of Pavia. It aims to strengthen young people’s nutrition literacy and to promote healthier and more sustainable food choices in line with the Planetary Health approach, countering misinformation and “Western” dietary patterns rich in ultra-processed foods. The research activities related to the assignment include: reviewing the scientific literature on risk factors associated with ultra-processed food consumption and health outcomes among young adults; designing and delivering educational activities and communication tools; co-designing materials and holding stakeholder meetings; and monitoring/evaluating results.

The selection of candidates is carried out on the basis of qualifications and possible interview (with test of knowledge of the foreign language) (see Art. 1 par. 1 Call for applications). The public call with detailed attendance and selection rules (Art 4 and 6) can be found at: https://pica.cineca.it/unipv/tipologia/idrThe selections are open to candidates, Italian or foreigner, in possession, on the date of the deadline for submitting applications for the admission to the selection, of a master's degree or single-cycle degree obtained no more than six years previously are eligible to participate in the selection process. These degrees must be relevant to the subject of the research activity. Further specific assessable qualifications (see Art. 1 par. 1 Call for applications): International training in dietetics and clinical nutrition is required, with advanced knowledge of malnutrition-related topics (with a focus on obesity) and of health maintenance through the application of lifestyle medicine principles. Competence is required in nutritional assessment, including the use of dedicated equipment, in food safety and quality, in critical appraisal of the scientific literature, and in the drafting of scientific outputs. The profile is complemented by the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, strong organizational autonomy, and methodological accuracy. A good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and the main tools for data management and processing is required. Additional qualifications/experience/skills that may be considered include certifications/licensure in nutrition and data analysis, experience with data management systems, as well as proven proficiency in scientific English. The following will also be evaluated: receipt of scholarships and/or contracts for activities in dietetics and clinical nutrition; publications in indexed journals; participation in scientific events as a speaker; teaching and/or tutoring activities; and a PhD degree. The candidate must therefore demonstrate skills in managing dietetics and clinical nutrition projects, with particular reference to: (i) delivering training courses on nutrition and health for different population targets (teachers, children, families); (ii) using, extracting, managing, and interpreting data derived from monitoring questionnaires; (iii) independently interpreting data and drafting scientific articles; and (iv) disseminating research results and outputs both through detailed reports and through participation in conferences, congresses, or dedicated events.
