Description

The overall aim of the project is to optimise Lombardy supply chains in the agri-food, chemical, and energy sectors through a Life Cycle Thinking approach, reducing environmental impact, enhancing biodiversity, and generating health co-benefits. Within this framework, a randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial is planned to evaluate the efficacy of a nutraceutical formulation. Accordingly, the research activities associated with the appointment will include: drafting the trial study protocol; managing ethical and regulatory approvals; nutritional screening and participant recruitment; managing the nutritional intervention and follow-up with systematic collection of nutritional outcomes and biological samples; data management; interpretation of findings and their dissemination (preparation of abstracts and manuscripts for publication in indexe international journals).

These degrees must be relevant to the subject of the research activity. Further specific assessable qualifications (see Art. 1 par. 1 Call for applications): A background in dietetics and clinical nutrition is required, with in-depth knowledge of the physiological and biochemical mechanisms of nutrition and of the role of diet in the management of malnutrition associated with specific pathological conditions, as well as in health maintenance through the application of lifestyle medicine principles. Competencies are required in nutritional assessment, including the use of dedicated instrumentation, in food safety and quality, in critical appraisal of the scientific literature, and in the preparation of scientific outputs. The profile is completed by the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, an aptitude for project coordination, organisational autonomy, and methodological rigour. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and of the main software tools for data management and processing is required. Additional qualifications/experience/skills that may be considered include certifications/authorisations in nutrition and data analysis, experience with data-management systems, and proven proficiency in scientific English. The following will also be considered: scholarships and/or contracts for activities in the field of dietetics and clinical nutrition; publications in indexed journals; participation in scientific events as a speaker; teaching and/or tutoring activities. The candidate will therefore be expected to demonstrate competencies in managing projects in dietetics and clinical nutrition, with particular reference to: (i) collection of anthropometric measurements and body composition assessment, and evaluation of physical activity levels; (ii) collection and analysis of dietary habits and intake frequency using validated questionnaires; (iii) use, extraction, management, and interpretation of data derived from food frequency questionnaires, physical activity assessment scales, and tools for the assessment of eating behaviours; (iv) autonomy in data interpretation and in drafting scientific papers
