Description

The research program aims to investigate the structure, processes, and environmental impacts of the cosmetics value chain, with the objective of identifying and promoting effective sustainability strategies. The program will map the entire supply chain for cosmetics manufacturing—from raw material sourcing and formulation to manufacturing, packaging and end-of-life management—highlighting key environmental hotspots and inefficiencies. Particular attention will be given to resource use, emissions, waste generation, and the role of suppliers and logistics in shaping the overall environmental footprint. The program will have to consider the industrial association and clusters of Europe in order to define also the strategy for development of research initiatives on the topic of the research. Specific interaction with cosmetic clusters and companies in France and in Spain will be required.
