Description
The research activity will focus on the calculation of spin– phonon processes that govern decoherence in solid-state quantum systems. To this end, the study will employ a computational protocol that, starting from the quasi-harmonic approximation, will be extended to include anharmonic effects through the use of the SSCHA method. The position does not include teaching or third-mission activities. The research is carried out within the framework of the FIS-1 project “Designing Solid-State Spin Qubits,” under the supervision of Prof. Marco Govoni.
