Separation of three-component gas mixtures (CO2/CH4/N2) for upgrading biogas to biomethane
Scientific-Disciplinary Group
09/ICHI-02 - Chemical Plants And Technologies
Description
The research program focuses on the study and optimization of adsorption processes for the separation of tricomponent gas mixtures containing CO₂, CH₄, and N₂. The goal is to develop adsorbent materials with high selectivity and capacity, capable of promoting the upgrade of biogas to high-purity biomethane. Particular attention is given to the characterization of adsorption cycles (PSA/TSA) and the most efficient operating conditions. The results aim to improve the energy performance and overall sustainability of biogas purification processes.
